Merion Friends Meeting and Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church are jointly sponsoring a month of events to raise awareness of the problem of mass incarceration in the US.
The lead off event will be a luncheon and discussion entitled, “Confronting Systemic Violence in Our Prison System: Sentencing, Prison Privatization, and Conditions of Confinement.”
Speakers include Angus Love, Esq., Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project, and Bonnie Kerness of the American Friends Service Committee’s Prison Watch Program.
