Plan to join us Saturday, May 20, 2017, 10 am to 3 pm, rain or shine, to revisit 1840s Quaker life. Learn about how issues like abolitionism, the Underground Railroad, and women&#8217;s rights were already impacting Lower Merion.<\/p>\n<p>There will be historical re-enactors, horse and carriage rides, period foods, quilts, clothing, and even a blacksmith. We&#8217;ll have crafts for kids and examples of toys and games. A silhouette cutter will demonstrate how Quakers preserved likenesses of their loved ones while maintaining their commitment to simplicity.<\/p>\n<p>Our <a href=\"http:\/\/merionfriends.org\/MerionFestival.htm\">History Festival web page<\/a> has been updated and will provide the latest information.
