How much of your faith is dependent on what other people have told you to believe? How much is based on what you have experienced personally? What were the circumstances of those experiences? Where were you, who were you with, what were you doing, what were you seeing/hearing/feeling/smelling/touching?
Do the people whose beliefs have informed your own beliefs live their lives in accordance with the principles they have taught you? Does that make them better people?
Faith that is deep and authentic not only tolerates questioning, it is made richer by it.
